Ergh. So I woke up yesterday at 3am feeling horribly nautious. I was still in some sort of a half asleep state which resulted in a very odd dream that had Foreman, Cameron, and Chase from House trying to figure out what was wrong with me (you know you watch too much House when...). I eventually got up, asked my mom for a gravol, and ended up throwing up. What fun.
So. I didn't have to get up again for the rest of the night but I did wake up every hour because I was really uncomfortable. As you can tell from this delightful story, I have the flu. I felt horrible yesterday morning but by the afternoon my temperature had gone down and I felt pretty good. Then I fell asleep for a while in the evening and when I woke up to watch the House season finale (which was awesome), I felt like crap again and my fever had gone up. So here I am, missing a second day of school. Not that I'm missing much, now that I think about it. There's biology and that's about it and I can catch up tomorrow while we're dissecting a perch or whatever.
I've been reading a lot today- I have this book called Pandemic which is really well-written and realistic so I'm enjoying it a lot. It's pretty creepy because what's going on in the book is really horrible yet realistic. I'm also reading a Sherlock Holmes book that I got from the library because I randomly brought up how House is based on Sherlock Holmes to Rachel the other day and we decided we should read the books to compare =P I'm reading A Study in Scarlet at the moment and it's been really good so far.
And yes, House relates to Holmes' character a lot. Both of them are kinda weird in that obsessive sort of way, yet really intelligent in the areas of which they study (sort of like the whole genius thing). They're both sort of a loner type except for their one friend Watson/Wilson and supposedly Holmes is addicted to cocaine but I haven't gotten that far yet.
Anyway, I'm gonna go lay down for a bit and watch some daytime tv. Hurray.
